Dedicated to the memory of Karen Brown

This site is a tribute to Karen Brown, who was taken far too soon from this world in which she had a profound effect on many people.

She had the ability to make friends and light up a room wherever she went with her smile, caring nature and sense of fun.  Most people when they move on in life to new ventures leave friendship groups behind, but Karen didn't.  She stayed in contact with those people and nurtured those friendships with amazing lifelong friends.

She was an amazing Mummy to her amazing children despite the challenges she faced for over 6 years.

With everything that was thrown at her, she dealt with it, got knocked down and got back up again, and again, and again.  Most people will never endure in their entire lives what Karen did in the last 6 1/2 years.  She was simply incredible.

As her husband, I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to meet her, fall in love with her, marry her and have a family with her, and my only regret is that has been taken away from us all far too soon.

Karen was fortunate to be looked after by The Princess Alice Hospice for some time, from the social worker to the support nurse to her last 10 days of life where she was looked after so incredibly well and graciously by the staff, who are more like angels as they just gave her everything she needed to be comfortable and at peace.

We were one of the fortunate families who were able to get a bed for Karen, but sadly there are many that the hospice are unable to take, so if this can go some way to making it a little easier for one person or one family, then this would be amazing.
